Michael Paul was born in 1900 and was the son of Thomas Paul of Potlotek and Mary Susie Paul of Eskasoni. Michael Paul was a prayer leader and was well versed in Mi’kmaq prayers, hymns and traditional Mi’kmaw songs. He was known for singing the traditional Mi’kmaw song, I’ko.
Michael Paul died July 4, 1984.
